Our inventory is looking good for Fall! We have our pruning finished, and a couple of items only need a few weeks to finish their flush. In late August and early September we will plant 20,000+ new liners to insure our customers have the trees they need for future jobs.
Take a look at our new estimated availability. We have pretty good quantities on some items that I am hearing will be in short supply this year (ie: Nellie's and Willow Oaks). So, book early to insure you get what you need for your jobs.
Call to schedule a tour of our farm or browse our photos - We think you will like what you see!

In 1912 Japan gave to the United States flowering cherry trees as a gift of friendship. They are planted around the tidal basin in Washington, D.C.

We want to return the gift of friendship in the form of aid to the American Red Cross by donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of any size 'Snow Goose' flowering cherry sold in March.
There is still time to place your order.

Help us write them a generous check. You might want to make the same offer to your customers to keep the gift giving.

By the way, take 20% off the list price.

The holidays are upon us!! We have definitely had enough cold winter weather to get us in the holiday spirit.
This month at Mid Georgia Nursery we are busy pruning, digging and shipping. Don't hesitate to call us for your b&b tree needs.
The office will be closed Dec 23, 24, and 31. Mid Georgia is participating in the MANTS show in Baltimore in early January and in the North Carolina Green & Growin' show in mid January. If you are attending either or both shows, please stop by our booth.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year from everyone at Mid Georgia Nursery!

Keeping Things Fresh

We purchased 2 new tree spades this month in preparation for the upcoming digging season. They are the latest and greatest in tree spade technology and will allow us to do more with less, provide our customers with better rootballs, and keep our fleet of equipment working tirelessly for us.
Before you purchase trees this year, ask yourself these questions about your tree supplier - Are they maintaining their inventory by spraying for pests, fertilizing, pruning and keeping the weeds under control, and is it being done properly? Are they keeping their inventory fresh by planting enough new liners each year to provide you with quality trees in years to come? Are they investing profits into their business by purchasing new equipment and maintaining their investment in their employees? If the answer to any of these questions is 'NO', you need to look at why you use them as a supplier.

August is here, and we will spend it putting the final touches on our trees, preparing our inventory for fall. Most of these activities revolve around pruning so that we can create a late flush to add a finishing touch to the shape of our trees and evergreens. This late flush is important to insure that you and your customers are getting great looking plants this fall and spring...buy them and see for yourself!
